Coaching Innate Nature vs. Personality:  What’s the Difference and Why Does it Matter?

    Presented by Lynn E. Taylor

Lynn E. Taylor is the creator of The Core Values Index™ (CVI), a human nature assessment using strategic values in a word-choice format. It reveals the innate nature of a person and their core motivational drivers.

As a coaching tool, The CVI™ delivers a values-based human nature profile. With it, we see how a person views the world from their unique perspective, their core motivational drivers, and how they will respond to life’s challenges with predictable strategies and tactics. Using the CVI, a coach helps clients discover who they are and how to consciously direct life choices by their deepest innate core value.

Doing so causes people to live the life they are called to live, do the work they are naturally wired to do, and contribute their deepest core value energy to the world, thereby flourishing as a human being.

Participants will be provided a free, comprehensive CVI ($50 value) and specific insight into how to interpret the results. From this session, you will learn:

    • How the CVI is different from "all the other assessments"
    • To use the CVI to improve your coaching and help clients
    • Help companies hire better and improve job satisfaction

1 Core Competency and 0.5 Resource Development CCEUs

Core Competencies focused on in this session:

    • Establish Trust and Intimacy with your Clients
    • Improve your ability to communicate effectively during coaching sessions, and to use language that has the greatest positive impact on the client
    • Create opportunities for ongoing client learning, and for taking new actions that will most effectively lead to agreed-upon coaching results

    About Lynn E. Taylor

Lynn stakes his company and his reputation around his “right person, right job” mission. He is creator of the Core Values Index™ (CVI), the only assessment to identify the unchanging human characteristics that align innate nature with job tasks, allowing individuals to achieve their full potential and become peak performers in every area of their life.

More than 2000 leaders have benefited from Lynn’s coaching and training. In his role as titular CEO of numerous companies he positioned more than 8000 individuals into their seat of highest and best contribution, increasing bottom-line performance beyond expectations. Lynn Taylor is a leading speaker for Vistage, the world’s largest CEO membership organization. His CVI-based training has been rated “…the best in the history of Vistage.”

Lynn has performed more than 200 successful turnaround projects over the past 20 years and has partnered with and helped develop over 500 executive and life coaches around the globe.

How you motivate yourself and influence your clients to positive productive action is one aspect of impactful leadership.  Another aspect is the frequency with which coaches and clients use proven exemplary leadership practices.

In this energizing learning session, you will explore sharpening your leadership vision and guiding your clients in shaping their leadership vision with powerful questions. We also raise awareness about proven leadership practices that can elevate your leadership and your clients to the next level.

In preparation for the session, we share a Leveling Up Leadership Workbook to guide you in creating your unique leadership identity. In the chapter program we focus on the leadership vision exercise and participants share vision ideas to inspire each other. Next, drawing from The Leadership Challenge: How to Make Extraordinary Things Happen in Organizations (6th Edition) by James Kouzes and Barry Posner, we explore five practice areas of exemplary leaders. We share ideas for guiding clients to increase these practices in their leadership, and for coaches to use the practices in growing your own businesses. The five practice areas are model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act and celebrate the heart.  We conclude the session with an action planning exercise.

You will leave with a few next steps you commit to taking when you return to your work with your clients and your coaching business!

This event earns you 1 Core Competency and .5 Resource Development CCEUs.
